12/29/2024 The Gift "The Return"

This is  week 5 of our series The Gift. We continue to unwrap the story of Joseph and Mary in Matthew 2, we discuss how not only does it show us a story about Jesus’ early life, but also a story of trusting God’s plan, returning to Him, and following His will with obedience and faith. As we reflect on the journey of the Family, we are reminded of our own journey as followers of Christ. Have you fully returned to God, like the prodigal son? And now that you’ve returned, are you continually following God’s plan for your life? Each day, we have the opportunity to choose His will over our own, to trust that His plans are for the better, and to walk in the path He has set before us. We read over scriptures Matthew 2:13-15, Matthew 2:19-23, Romans 11:29, and Luke 15:11-24.
